Lighting

Lighting plays a significant part in the interior design of any building and affects the efficiency and comfort of staff. Good lighting can promote productivity and a sense of well-being. Although it is essential to provide high levels of illumination for some areas, it is not always appropriate. Rest rooms and break-out areas feel more comfortable with lower levels of light. Some rooms need the flexibility to adjust the level according to change in use.

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning

In any building it is of primary importance that a safe and comfortable internal environment is provided.

The means of achieving target levels will depend upon the configuration of the individual buildings and the specification of existing mechanical plant. Temperatures within the office and other work environments should provide a reasonable degree of thermal comfort.
